10 Looks That Scream #RELATIONSHIPGOALS: The WadeUnion Edition
Ever since the two powerful forces collided of NBA star, Dwayne Wade and actress, Gabrielle Union their infectious energy and passion for one another was apparent. However, once the Wedding bells sounded the couple’s bond seemed to become stronger, exuding through their unique choice of fashion. Whether it is Formal, Casual, High Fashion, Vintage, or Athletic the dynamic duo never fails to dress to impress.
1. Sleek & Fleeked
This first look was captured at the Met Gala 2015, as the two turned heads in a classy but trendy look. Gabrielle Union, in a fuchsia colored Zac Posendress is bold but subtle. The color fuchsia is not loud and compliments her skin tone. Draped to the front the dress provides definition, as the remainder of the dress hugs her body. To her left, the three rings and golden clutch breaks up the color fuchsia and simultaneously does not take the attention away of the main attraction: the dress. Gabrielle’s hair, is in a bobbed-cut along with lose curls. Her makeup is natural as the fuchsia lip completes the look. Dwayne Wade is wearing a Versace tailored navy blue, single-buttoned suit, with a round collar. In a white collared shirt and white bow tie, it allows the eye to focus on the red, angled cut vest crossing him horizontally. This creates levels and overall adds color to the piece. His accessories for the evening were jewelry by Buccellati . Both ensembles are close-fitting and the color combinations are not often seen together, making it memorable.
2. Clean & Crisp
Rocking in this light and clean ensemble, Gabrielle is wearing a nude knee-length dress with buttons aligning vertically throughout the middle of the dress. The bottom of the dress falls with pleats. Her nude strapped pumps keep the theme of nude while accessorizing with a camel colored clutch. Her makeup also follows the theme due to the nude lip and natural makeup. She keeps it simple with her wavy short cut. Dwayne Wade is rocking a more relaxed look, as his sleeves are rolled in a white collared white shirt and off black pants. Dwayne’s footwear, are all white low-top sneakers, perfectly matching with the top. His black hat is a wide-flat brim and leaves a cool impression, not to mention his black shades. His leather, camel banded, round faced watch matches Gabrielle’s clutch. They both successfully execute this simplistic clean look, with light color combinations.
3. Denim Blues
Gabrielle Union owns it in this photo, as her duck face says it all! The trend of denim on denim is back and she presents it ever so effortlessly. Wearing a fringed midi- denim skirt partnered with a denim-buttoned shirt and rolled sleeves Gabrielle leaves only two buttons buttoned, unafraid to show skin. The brown belt sets off a natural toned look, just as the tan satchel purse to her left. Her open-toed leopard shoes are fun, but not too high following the casual look. Her hair is in a lose curl, and makeup natural but with a soft rose lip. Her necklace of black and rose gold isn’t a distraction and takes a backseat to the denim on denim however; it plays the role of complimenting her flawless skin. She makes it obvious that it’s okay to be sexy, casual and fun! With husband Dwayne Wade, in hand, Dwayne whips out the blue as well. Dwayne encompasses a “Hip-Hop meets Rocker” look, starting off with blue Jordan’s and denim skinny jeans. His white quarter length white buttoned shirt, grey beanie, and all black round-faced watch work well together because the basic colors of white and grey do not overshadow the off-black jean and blue Jordan’s. The gold chain takes the eye off of the plain white shirt, making the main point of reference the blue Jordan’s. Who knew the color blue would make a couple look and feel so good?
4. Golden
The Wades are always living life like it’s golden as Gabrielle’s top and skirt steal the show with an open back, gold silk blouse and midi-beaded gold and light blue skirt. The open-toed strapped tan heels finish the look. Her hair glistens in a layered straight style, as for makeup: a smoky eye and nude lip. Dwayne doesn’t fall behind, in his black suit and black vest. The white low-top sneakers, white handkerchief, and white-collared shirt are just enough and his black and off-black checkered tie is classy. Singer, Jidenna isn’t the only one who’s a classic man, Gabrielle’s got one on her hands too!
5. All Black Everything…Almost?
Gabrielle decides to incorporate a little nude into her all black look. The Capri black dress pants and black and silver handled clutch is suit for anytime and any day, especially the pointed toe black and nude pumps. Her top contains a bodysuit silhouette with nude lace sleeves, which fall off the shoulder. Gabrielle’s shoulder length hair is feathered while her makeup is simple with wine colored lips. Mr. Wade is wearing dark brown tie up shoes, and black pants. He also wears a grey-scooped sweatshirt and a dark blue sports jacket with a black collar and black wide-flat brim hat. Dwayne’s look speaks sporty while Gabrielle’s look is more high-fashioned, whether sporty, high fashion, black, or nude, they both kill this look.
6. All dressed up in Black & White
Dwayne Wade makes a slam dunk in this look! His white-scooped neck sweatshirt designed with a bar code is a new spin on the graphic tee. The shorts patterned in black and white, black wide-flat brim hat and white high tops polish his final look. Gabrielle Union’s entire black ensemble is trendy and fun, starting off with the silk-buttoned shirt. Leaving two buttons fastened, her black bra plays a major part in this look because it’s free and more fun, just as her imprinted shorts with square shapes. The heels are open-toe black and gold stiletto with a back strap. Gabrielle also accessorizes with a metallic and black clutch, along with black shades. Her hair is wavy and makeup contains a natural look. Dwayne Wade scored this one but Gabrielle definitely makes an assist!
7. Details, Details, Details!
In these next pieces pay very close attention to the details. Gabrielle’s clothing is subtle with a nude and cream marbled blazer and a nude midi-length dress. Her hair is loosely curled and makeup entails a smoky eye and matte red lip. The details are her single stoned silver necklace, silver crossed ring, the double banded ring, and a single banded ring. Her shoes match this silver style with an open toe strap around the ankle. The jewelry is the focal point of the ensemble. Dwayne’s details are apparent throughout his clothing. First, are the black skinny jeans. Within the black jeans are horizontal threads traveling straight through, on the sides of the jeans are silver zippers. On Dwayne’s sweater is white with a black solid stripe, and on the shoulders are zippers. His wide- flat brim hat, black round-face watch, and Dwayne’s high-top velvet black sneakers complete his ensemble. Nevertheless, the horizontal threads on his pants, the zippers on the pants and sweater makes his look stand out. His striped sweater is in common with the horizontal threads. The detail’s on Mr. Wade’s outfit makes his outfit not just another black and white piece, but rather unforgettable! Gabrielle Union and Dwayne Wade are both perfect examples of how it does not take much to create a great look.
8. 3 Shades of Grey? Different Functions.
Gabrielle is wearing a knee-length silk spaghetti strapped dress that is navy blue. Her sports jacket is a maroon, white, and black piece, lifting off the shoulders. Her purse is black velvet. Gabrielle’s hair is styled in a messy, wavy look, and the eyeliner is dramatic with a maroon colored lip. Her feet are styled with open-toe, strapped grey suede heels. Dwayne’s shoes highlight his ensemble as the remainder of his ensemble pieces adds to his look. The tie-up shoes are ombrè with burnt mahogany and black. These showstoppers are aligned with yellow. The pants are grey and rolled up, creating a look for the Spring. His charcoal long sleeve shirt and off-white hat is perfect for a sunny day stroll. Gabrielle’s grey stilettos, and Dwayne’s grey pant, and grey shirt are all the shades of grey but functions are different. Gabrielle’s grey stilettos functions were to break up the dark tones of the ensemble while Dwayne Wade’s grey pieces acted as a platform for the ombrè shoes, which were not to be outshined. If his color choices were loud and bright his shoes would be nonexistent. Follow this couple’s lead as they dress smart, and color smart.
9. Athletes Wanted.
This athletic look is chill, fun, and easy to maintain! Gabrielle is dressed in black and red sneakers with fringed light denim shorts. Gabrielle is seen here wearing red and white Nebraska Cornhuskers jersey, along with her red plaid and black shirt, tied around the waist. With a red baseball cap turned to the back it spells perfection. Gabrielle has a red lip to go with her sporty look, which is cute and playful. Dwayne’s look is as follows: white high-tops, black skinny pants, and black long-sleeved shirt with the number one on it. Dwayne is also wearing a baseball cap that is black with white words on it and two gold chains. Gabrielle’s look is more sporty, while Dwayne accomplished his style with a more casual approach, with the help of gold chains, and black skinny pants. Dwayne clearly isn’t the only athlete, so is Gabby!
10. Mr. & Mrs. Dwayne Wade Recreates the Dark Look!
Mrs. Union-Wade’s gown is chiffon and in all black! The arm and back is transparent as well. She allows her wedding ring to be the only jewelry and accessorizes with a black clutch. Her jet-black hair is in a messy loose curl while the makeup is dramatized with a smoky eye, heavy eyeliner, and a nude lip. Mr. Wade’s ensemble contains black leather ankle boots, a black wide- flat brim hat, grey skinny jeans and a grey extra long extended t-shirt. His gold medallion necklace has a thick spiral chain, bringing Hip-Hop to a classic look. Both of the couple’s usage of black compliments one another’s edgy look making it picture perfect!
When it comes to fashion the Wades fall second to none, and are not to be reckoned with in style. Their ability to be versatile, and their expression of personality shine through their clothing, making them not only likable but also relatable. Gabrielle may be known to act, and Dwayne may be known to ball out, but collectively they’re also known to dress!
